Job Description / Responsibility
- Please note that this recruitment is subject to the outcome of an ongoing tender.
- You will assure that the project is implemented efficiently and effectively and in the frame of the defined project document as well as in line with the strategies and policies of our organisation as implementing body and the donor agency Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation. You will ensure strategic orientation of the project and assume the responsibility of operational matters such as planning, budgeting, contract management, monitoring and reporting as well as financial & human resource management. In addition, you guide the project team on technical and methodological aspects related to inclusive market system development and access of poor and disadvantaged households to public and private service provision, multi-stakeholder dialogue and networking, communication and relationships with partners. Within the project team and on partner level you contribute to a team building and human resource development which also includes the promotion on gender, social equity and effective knowledge sharing. Besides, you monitor partnership relations and maintain good collaboration and exchange with other projects, organizations and the donor agency. Furthermore, you interact in policy dialogue in postharvest management related topics.

- Master degree in economic or social sciences, or other relevant development related studies;
Experience Requirements
- At least 10 year(s)
Additional Job Requirements
- A minimum of 10 years relevant international work experience in developing countries with strong reference in managing rural economy and service provision improvement programmes;
- Excellent knowledge and skills in rural market system development and livelihood oriented approaches;
- Knowledge on capacity development of local organizations, facilitation and training skills;
- Conceptual competencies and analytical strength in development cooperation;
- Excellent communication skills, and intercultural and gender sensitivity;
- Excellent spoken and written English;
- Context knowledge of and working experience in Bangladesh;
