  • Global Risk is a thriving and expert risk management function supporting HSBC globally with all aspects of risk management. The team actively manages a varied and dynamic range of risk types, including security, fraud, information security, contingency, geopolitical, operational, credit, pension, insurance, financial crime and regulatory compliance, market and reputation risks. All parts of the Global Risk team use their skills, insight and integrity to handle established threats and those they see emerging, acting to protect and enable HSBC to deliver sustainable growth.
  • In this role, you will:
  • Manage, plan and control the Physical Security and formulating security guidelines and procedures; provide expert advice on all matters pertaining to Physical Security and guarding to ensure that Group security principles are met
  • Ensure all of the HSBC Bangladesh buildings and physical properties are protected from physical attack, secured from unauthorised access and that all contract personnel and security service providers are completing their duties as per relevant directives
  • Identify businesses and facilities requiring additional Physical Security support; develop specific security programs as appropriate
  • Ensure area Physical Security team has a current understanding of the local crime situation and its impact on facilities and staff; ensure incorporation into risk assessments and implementation of appropriate measures to mitigate specific threats and incidents
  • Review and analyse Business Continuity/Recovery plans, policies and practices, and escalate concerns, problems and issues to Senior Management for endorsement and decision making
  • Proactively ensure all equipment and procedures are present in locations to comply with local banking laws and Regional policies
  • Guide and facilitate Business Continuity Management (BCM) activities; develop of seamless BCM framework for entire operations, including the remote offices
  • Constantly remain aware of the safety and security standards of the Bank, regularly monitor the operational efficiency and effectiveness of safety and security installations, manage optimum safety and security solution in a cost effective manner

  • To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:
  • Extensive relevant experience in local/multinational organisation; defence forces background preferred
  • Knowledgeable in security designation, as well as other specialised training in security, executive protection, evacuation protocols, workplace violence management techniques and advanced interrogation/interview techniques
  • Knowledge of and experience in the application of a wide variety of security devices and equipment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skill
