Job Description / Responsibility
  • • Assume responsibility for all transactions that are handled within the department with an expectation of complete accuracy
  • • Oversee the management of collections, accounts receivables and accounts payable
  • • Ensure all invoices are compliant with client requirements
  • • Develop a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism to assist the senior management team with their decision-making responsibilities
  • • Establish an effective project based budgeting procedure
  • • Regularly monitor the budget and guide the financial and project site teams in ensuring accurate forecasting and cost-effective usage of resources
  • • Provide input in project tenders and proposals from a financial and accounting point of view
  • • Ensure all project site and the Head Office are regularly being audited and follow up on audit findings to improve financial and accounts management.
  • • Monitor and review financial planning and performance in consultation with senior management team members
  • • Maintain a strong business relationship with the banks and other institutions that provide credit facilities and arrange financing as and when needed
  • • Ensure all banking facilities (Loans, Guarantees, L/Cs) are prudently managed
  • • Look after all insurance, company credit rating and company tax and company affairs related matters
  • • Liaison with, tax authorities, concerned government authorities and suppliers
  • • Lead, motivate, and improve all members of the department in terms of both professional and personal growth
  • • Carry out all other accounts and finance related tasks and any other tasks as assigned by the Management
  • • Manage the preparation and maintenance of regular financial planning reports including: monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
  • • Ensure recording systems are maintained and are compliant with generally accepted auditing standards
  • • Ensure cash is managed prudently and efficiently ensuring positive financial health
  • • Maintaining company’s financial stability and integrity through financially sound decision making

Educational Requirements
  • Qualified chartered accountant or MBA (Finance) or equivalent from a reputed university.
  • Foreign degree will be an added advantage.
Experience Requirements
    15 to 20 year(s)
Additional Job Requirements
  • • Minimum of 15 years of experience working of which at least 5 years of leading/ managing finance and accounts of at least a medium sized organisation
  • • Experience and knowledge in tax related matters (VAT/ customs duty/ income tax)
  • • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • • Proficient in both English and Bangla
  • • Excellent computer operating skills
  • • Experience of working in electronic accounting system
